Krzysztof Penderecki, el vanguardista compositor que nos aterrorizó en “El exorcista” con Polymorphia (1961) y en “El resplandor” con sus dos  De Natura Sonoris (1966 y 1971), Utrenja (1969-70) y otros, gana el Grammy a la mejor interpretación coral en la 59 edición de los Premios Grammy

Este álbum es una variada muestra de la obra sacra sinfónico coral escrita con este espíritu por el compositor polaco de 83 años que fue testigo de Auschwitz y del terror stalinista de los 50. En él se incluye el estreno de Dies Illa, para solistas, coro y orquesta, compuesta en 2014 para conmemorar el centenario de la I Guerra Mundial.
